History
The Integra Type R was introduced in the UK market in 1997 and it revitalized the name Integra that was associated with pensioners but which had ceased to exist since 1989.
It was initially available in one color only - Japanese Racing White - and the Type R was an instant hit and could only retail below 20, 000 pounds.
Since its launch, the Honda Integra Type R has little changes with the key change that has been made to the car was to widen the color choice to include black and red. The rise of the Integra sales in the UK was assisted by the Prelude, although the sales were not steady enough because of the introduction of other sporting cars by Honda which include the S2000 roadster and the Accord Type R. However, in late 2000, the Honda Integra Type R was eventually axed as Honda was more concerned with the spread of other brands other than the Type R brands.
