Honda Integra Type R
The arrival of the Honda Integra Type R saw the other Honda Integra go off the pace since they were noisy, harsh riding and short-geared and were unsuitable to drive in various conditions.
However, the Integra Type R was the solution and thus it was a brilliant piece of work. Unlike the banzai four cylinder engine cars which only perform well on smooth surfaces with plenty of corners, the Honda Integra Type R is ideal on any surface and can work to provide the results beyond your expectations. This type of Honda model has had many improvements including improvements in the supportive front seats with a five-speed manual. The engine has employed some of the advanced technologies in automotive industry.
When Honda launched its first Integra Type R Model everything was at a crossroad. It was difficult to ascertain the features that needed to be retained in the new model. It was not easy to decide whether to retain the frentic maniacal engine, trash metal soundtrack and the pogo-stick handling or should the car be tamed since it was recognized that the car had matured a bit. Among the improvements made to the original car was the 1.8 liter engine that has a VTEC variable shaft, it was replaced with a 2.0 liter engine which was a little bit tamer although it also used the VETC smart technology. This new engine is not more powerful only that an extra 6kw for 147 kW was added, the newer version made more torque and this is the reason that the newer version can be driven in more mean revs and thus produces good progress unlike the older version that was not easy to drive and the progress was generally below average.
